Ear Piercing

Piercing the lobes of the ears is the most common piercing, and many small children get this piercing. This area is one of the easiest piercings to heal and maintain. Ear lobe piercing is the recommended first piercing before piercing other areas of the ear, like the cartilage or helix but does not have to be the first. 

Helix Piercing

Helix piercing refers to the area around the top of the ear. This can also be called cartilage piercing, but cartilage piercing can also be a broader term referring to other cartilage such as the nose or daith. Cartilage tissue can take longer to heal so this is good to keep in mind when picking your placement. Picking a piercing studio with a wide variety of experience is always best to make sure you are getting the quality for your piercing.
